Bankdale Ambers sons average £25,000
We always knew Bankdale Amber would be the female to put us on the map, but now she’s really proving her worth as her first four bulls sold privately and at Society sales have now averaged £25,000.
Leading the way for us in Carlisle this month, at a sale which can only be described as phenomenal for the breed, was Plumtree Filbert. Born March 2010, he is by Cloughhead Umpire and is out of Amber. With a beef value of +32, he stood first at the National Limousin Show in Carlisle and is a full brother to the 35,000gns Plumtree Deus. He was sold to Messrs J Hunter and Sons, Northumberland.
Plumtree Farley, a son of Wilodge Vantastic out of Amber again then sold at 13,000gns. With a beef value of +32 he is a full brother to the £40,000 Plumtree Fantastic and sold to W and R Lawson, Workington, Cumbria. I’d like to wish both buyers the very best with their purchases and I look forward to hearing how their progeny perform for them.
